Call for Papers
Submission of papers is invited on all of the proposed conference main topics. To encourage young researchers ( < 35 years old ) to submit their papers, the OC has created awards for the best oral and poster presentations, respectively. From the full paper manuscripts received, the SC will select the candidates to awards and those to be submitted to peer review and to be proposed for publication in a special issue of a scientific journal.The submission of extended abstracts and papers must comply with the deadlines established.
Extended abstracts Authors must send an extended abstract of the paper proposal with a maximum of 2 pages including text, pictures and tables. It should clearly state the objectives, main results and conclusions of the work performed. For abstract preparation, please follow the guidelines and use the template included below. The extended abstracts must be submitted in English. However, if the authors choose to write the paper in Portuguese, an extended abstract, also written in Portuguese, can be submitted in addition. Please submit your extended abstract by email to the conference secretariat and complete the online registration form before (new date) 20 March 2012 . The scientific committee will review the extended abstracts to select those for oral or poster presentation. Authors will be notified of the abstract acceptance and of the SC indication for oral or poster presentation before 25 March 2012.
Full papers All authors of the extended abstracts accepted are also invited to present the full paper manuscript in electronic form. The page limit recommended for full paper is 8 pages with figures and photographs included. The full paper must be sent to the secretariat before 15 May 2012. For the full manuscript preparation, the authors must follow the same guidelines and the same template of extended abstracts.
The SC will select from the full paper manuscripts presented (in one of the official languages of the conference), by young researchers as first author (< 35 years old), the candidates for the best oral or poster presentations awards .
Paper publication in a special issue The SC will select from the full paper manuscripts received, those to be submitted to peer review and to be proposed for publication in a special issue of the scientific journals: European Journal of Environmental and Civil Engineering Structure and Infrastructure Engineering Maintenance, Management, Life-Cycle Design & Performance
