In parallel with the technical program of ICDS12, there will be a "Photo Competition” within the theme "Durable structures - From macro to the nano scale”.
It is intended that the competitors submit original photographs related to the different aspects involved in the durability of structures. Some aspects could be relate with the phases of design and construction, which often lead to poor performance in service and which are usually observable on a macroscopic scale. Others are only observable at the level of micro and nanostructure and in most of the cases are essential to understand the properties with more influence on the performance of structural materials and to predict the future behavior of the structure.
Good quality photos can be submitted in black and white or color. Photo assembly is not allowed. We will only accept original photos that comply with the competition rules which can be found below.
